Collectible card game · The Celestial Tide

ECLIPTICA

A thousand years of twilight are over. The Sun and the Moon woke up hungry, and the sky of Vesper is now a battlefield. You are a Weaver: a star in your chest and a whole tide in your hands.

Coming soon for Windows

A duel where the sky changes sides

Every card you play pushes the Celestial Tide, the same one for both players. Whoever reads the sky wins.

The Celestial Tide

A single bar shared by both players, from the Moon (−4) to the Sun (+4). Sun cards push it one way, Moon cards the other, and Eclipse cards bend it.

Apogee

When the Tide hits an extreme, that celestial body awakens: every unit of that aspect — yours and your opponent's — triggers its effect. Plan who benefits.

Four lanes, no retaliation

Units always attack straight ahead at the end of your turn. Only the attacker deals damage: position and timing are everything.

Seals

Face-down cards that trigger on their own during your opponent's turn. They only see the colour. The answer is positioning, or breaking them.

Echoes

The fallen leave an Echo behind. Playing onto your own Echo costs less and awakens Devour effects.

Ritual

Each turn you choose: Channel (more Energy) or Study (more cards). Grow, or know more?

The cards

Edition 1: the Dawnbreak Base Set (everyone gets it) and the Echoes of the Breaking pack set.

The world of Vesper

The Ancients built the Celestial Astrolabe: rings of bronze and light that held the Sun and the Moon in an eternal eclipse. For a thousand years there was neither day nor night. In the year 1000, the Astrolabe broke. Its rings fell as Star Shards, and the energy leaking from them now flows through the sky: the Celestial Tide.

The Chronicles of Vesper

Each edition of the game is a book of the saga. Five books, one broken sky.

ECLIPTICABook I · Dawnbreak

Book I · Dawnbreak

Teo, a squire of the Order, and Nyra, a dew witch from Nocturna, each receive a star in their chest on the night the sky breaks. Sixteen chapters, about 43,000 words.
